Student Checking
As a student, you're always on-the-go. That's why South Shore Bank has a checking account that makes it easy to manage your money anywhere, with no minimum balance requirement, no monthly fees, ATM refunds, and more.
*South Shore Bank’s Student Checking Account is available to those between the ages of 13 and 24. There are no monthly maintenance fees and no minimum balance required. Please refer to our Fee Schedule as certain other fees may apply. There is a $10 minimum to open the account. Parents can make a free funds transfer from their account to the Student Checking Account at SSB if they are an authorized signer on the account. In the month account holder turns 25, account is changed to SSB Free Checking product, if available at the time.
**Must enroll in eStatements to receive gift card. If you don’t enroll in eStatements within 30 days after account opening, your account will automatically migrate to a Free Checking Account, which does not offer the same benefits as the Student Checking Account, nor does it require eStatements.South Shore Bank prepaid cards are issued by Pathward, Member FDIC, pursuant to license by Mastercard International Incorporated.
