Charitable Foundations
Created in 1997, the South Shore Bank Charitable Foundation was made to support and benefit the community through charitable, educational, and other benevolent organizations.
What's Our Mission?
The mission of the South Shore Bank Charitable Foundation is to reinforce, encourage, and support our ongoing commitment to the well-being of our valued communities. At The Foundation, we allocate our resources specifically for the advantage of the community at large, including education and social human services endeavors.
Grants
Our financial grants and monetary gifts support non-profit organizations whose work benefits the communities where South Shore Bank has a major presence. We give grants in support of existing programs, special projects, and start up endeavors covering a variety of issues that impact the community.

That's great! We would love to help your organization better the community. Requests for funding should meet the guidelines described above, and all proposals should include the following elements:

- IRS tax determination letter indicating 501(c)(3) status
- Financial information
- Income and expense budget for the specific program
- Most recent year-end financial statements or audit
- Sources and amounts of funding required, solicited, and received to date.
We take the time to review each application carefully! Our funding decision could take up to four weeks, and whatever the outcome, all applicants will be notified of their proposal outcome by mail.
